CLAFLIN ---The Central Plains Oilers put on a show for the Homecoming crowd with a decisive 56-12 victory over Canton Galva in the first round of 1A Division I play in Claflin.

Down defensive lineman Joe Barton snagged a pass and scored a 5-yard touchdown interception and blocked a punt allowing fellow defensive lineman Evan Liebl to score another defensive touchdown in the game.

RANSOM --- Western Plains was no match for the revitalized Wilson football team as the Dragons devoured the Bobcats 40-28.

Justin Zamecnik stepped into the quarterback slot when Jordan Bess was injured and did a good job at the helm.
