John Zamrzla and Sharon Sebesta were married Dec. 1, 1962,  in Salina. Their wedding reception, dinner and dance were held at the Opera House in Wilson.
John worked for the Burlington Northern Railroad, which caused the couple to move around until they settled in Lincoln, Neb. in 1966 where they resided until 1993 when John was transferred to the Forth Worth, Texas area to perform his duties as corridor superintendent for the then-merged Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad.
The couple resided in Texas until John’s retirement from the railroad in 2003, when the couple moved back to Wilson where they are enjoying good health and “hobby” farming.
The couple has three children, Kathy Down and husband, Kirk, Lincoln, Neb.; Scott and wife, Michelle, Kearney, Neb.; and, John and wife Melissa, Fort Worth, Texas.
Their grandchildren are Noah Down, Colten and Shayna Zamrzla, Jackson Zamrzla, and the late Scotty Down.
The couple will celebrate with a family dinner and trip to Branson.  Cards may be sent to P.O. Box 266, Wilson, Kan.  67490.
