Sonia Mae Vodraska

Sonia Mae Vodraska, 71, passed away Friday, May 2, in Wilson. She was born July 2, 1942 in Odell, Neb. to Orville and Wilma (Jones) Warren.
Sonia spent most of her life in Ellsworth County where she was a Certified Nursing Assistant at the Good Samaritan Home, a teacher’s aide at Ellsworth Elementary School, and a farmwife. She was a member of the St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church of Wilson, Daughters of Isabella of Wilson, and the Family and Community Education.
She married Alex Vodraska Jr. May 1, 1965 in Wichita. He survives her. Other survivors include daughters, Karen Boyd of Hot Springs, Ark. and Michelle Weinhold of Wilson; brother, Bob Warren of Roy, Utah; sister, Jane Winfrey of Clackamas, Ore.; grandsons, Cody Jackson of Jonesboro, Ark. and Tanner Jackson of Hot Springs, Ark.; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Sarah Mae, in 1972.
Visitation will be  from 1 to 5 p.m., Sunday, May 4, at Parsons Funeral Home, Ellsworth. A vigil service will be 7:00 p.m., Sunday at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Wilson.
Funeral mass will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, May 5, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, with burial following in the Ellsworth Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Wilson or to the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Dorrance, in c/o Parsons Funeral Home, P.O. Box 45, Ellsworth, Kan. 67439.
