Brookville plans annual Labor Day bash

The town of Brookville will stage its annual Labor Day Celebration Sunday, Sept. 4, with a day of activities.
The celebration opens at 7 a.m. with cinnamon rolls in the park, followed by a 5K walk/run starting at 8 a.m. at the high school.
A 9 a.m. cowboy church service with peter Lewis Whitebird of the United Methodist Church is scheduled for 9 a.m.
The parade starts at noon, followed by turtle races in the park and a rodeo at 2 p.m. The rodeo is a production of the Brookville Rounders Rodeo Club at the arena north of the park.
After the rodeo will be Dent’s Tractor Pedal Pull at 5 p.m. in the park.
The celebration will conclude with a dance from 7 to 11 p.m., also in the park.
