ELLSWORTH — The Bearcats destroyed the Broncos in the second half of tonight’s football game at Shanelec field, winning by a score of 41-12. Jacob Froese had an 85 yard touchdown run in the game.

The Lady ‘Cats split matches with fifth ranked 2A Sacred Heart Tuesday, losing the first match 25-12 and 25-18, but played like a volleyball machine in the second match stunning the Lady Knights with 25-22 and 25-23 wins. The Lady ‘Cats are idle this weekend.

LITTLE RIVER—The Central Plains Oilers, led by the running of Benn Kirmer rolled to a 42-26 victory over the Redskins of Little River on the road in Little River.

The Lady Oilers volleyball team will play in the Russell tournament in Russell Saturday. Game time is at 9 a.m.

WILSON—Former eighth grade Wilson Dragon/QH T-bird quarterback Cody Savage piloted the Red Raiders of Central-Burden to a 76-14 shellacking of the Dragons at Wilson in a game that ended after two quarters. Wilson was the first team to score on the Red Raiders this season.

The Lady Dragons travel to Tescott to compete in the Tescott volleyball tournament Saturday. Game times are at 9 and 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
