The Ellsworth Police Department is seeking the public’s help in finding two local teens who ran away from home Jan. 16, during the early morning hours.
According to Chief Dave Smith, investigation into the matter revealed that 16-year-old Connor Creech of Kanopolis, a white male, and 13-year-old Katelynn McKinney of Ellsworth, a white female, planned to leave together.
“They are in the possession of a relative’s vehicle, which is a 1998 white, two-door Saturn, with a Kansas 30-day temporary license tag,” Smith said.
Smith said the investigation also has revealed the pair were seen together at the Town West Mall in Wichita the evening of Jan. 16.
“A credit card believed to be in their possession, was used early Tuesday morning, Jan. 17, at a business located on the corner of Central and Ridge Road in Wichita,” he said.
Anyone with any information that would help locate Creech and McKinney is asked to call Ellsworth County Crime Stoppers, (800)-222-TIPS (8477), or the Ellsworth Police Department, (785) 472-5110.
