Good crowd attends ECF open house

Dozens of residents from Ellsworth County and across the state attended Friday afternoon's open house to unveil the East Unit of the Ellsworth Correctional Facility in the former St. Francis Boys' Home.

Inmates are set to start moving into the 11-acre complex Tuesday.

Guests included Kansas Secretary of Corrections Ray Roberts and deputy secretary Johnnie Goddard. Both are former ECF wardens.
