In a special meeting Thursday night at the district office in Ellsworth, the Ellsworth-Kanopolis-Geneseo School Board approved a resolution that will place a $4.8 million bond issue on the April 2 general election ballot.
The bond issue will cover security issues at Ellsworth Elementary, Kanopolis Middle School and Ellsworth Junior/Senior High School; HVAC and window replacement at KMS; science labs and special education classrooms at EJSHS; locker room and kitchen remodeling at EJSHS; remodeling and expanding the shop classrooms at EJSHS; remodeling the present shop building into six junior high classrooms and locker space and addressing HVAC issues at EJSHS.
