One of downtown Ellsworth's newest businesses is Hunny Bunny, boutique that offers a unique take on children’s clothing. It's owned by Anisha (Devadason) Janssen
“It’s a little closer than I expected, but I’ll be ready for it,” Janssen said recently. .
Noting a lot of people name their stores after their children, Janssen said she decided to name her store Hunny Bunny, because that is what she calls her 20-month-old son, Elliott.
What makes Hunny Bunny’s children’s clothes special? According to Janssen, they are hand sewn in India by employees of a company called Baby’s Breath.
“In India we have a lot of poor people — a lot of poor women especially — and it’s hard for them to make enough money to support their family,” Janssen said.
Of Indian decent, Anisha and her family moved to the United States in 2003, and to Ellsworth in 2005.

Janssen plans to have Hunny Bunny, in the former Farm Bureau Insurance office at 402 N. Douglas Ave., open from 1 to 5:30 p.m. Wednesdays, or by appointment.
