Rain falls on Ellsworth County

Rain created small puddles in the streets of Ellsworth following a small thunderstorm in the early morning of April 24.

Much-needed rain fell in Ellsworth County Wednesday morning, but not enough to break the severe drought that has plagued two-thirds of the state in 2014.


Wilson residents reported .25 of an inch. Holyrood got between .50-.60 of an inch and .45 of an inch fell on the Elkhorn Creek, northeast of Ellsworth. Ellsworth residents reported .25-.50 of an inch over the city.
