Davises to celebrate 60 years

L. Vernon and Roberta Davis of Kanopolis will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary Sept. 4.
L. Vernon Davis married Roberta Walter at St. Francis, Sept. 4, 1951.
Vernon is retired from the Kansas Highway Patrol and Roberta is a retired beautician.
The couple has three children, Scott and wife Linda of Kanopolis, Rachelle and husband, Shawn Kobbeman, of Lincoln, and the late Vernece Cleveland. They have nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
