Black Wolf

The 14th annual reunion of the Black Wolf Community was Sept. 11 at the Ellsworth Senior Center, along with the first reunion of the Black Wolf 4-H Club. Following the potluck dinner, a program on history of the 4-H Club was given by John Krupp and Jim Homolka. Pictures were displayed from 4-H activities such as the 4-H fair and club tour. Eleven former 4-H Club members attended the reunion.
An afternoon of visiting and reminiscing about the good times in Black Wolf was enjoyed.
Attending from Ellsworth were Elsie Foran, Art Panzer, Irene Firman Wirth, Ava Charowhaus, Vivian Kratzer, John and Carol Kratzer, Irene Urbanek, Ida Zvolanek, Jim and Marilyn Homolka, Gladys Wagner, Bernadine Bachman, Nina Doubrava, Frank and Judy Toman, John and Diane Krupp, Ruth Root and Robert Homolka.
Also attending were Blanche and Harvey Woodmansee, Eugene Macek and Libby Sebesta, all of Wilson; Wini and Paul Helus, Topeka; Olen and Frances Svoboda, Holyrood; Joyce Shields, Lindsborg; Connie Boor Hoisington; Carole Boor, Claflin; Edna Kanak, Geneseo; Gale Hunter, Black Wolf; Linda Kepka-Siemer, Bushton; Barbara Steiner, Susan Seiner and Jim Steiner, Great Bend; Keith and Margie Foote Fox of St. Joseph, Mo.; Sam Hunter, Kanopolis; Diane Kepka-Carter and Jenna Roberts, Augusta; Rosie Kepka-Kerwin, Wichita; Alice Vodraska Bettenbrock, Derby; Riggin Jasper, Garnett.
