ELLSWORTH --- The Lady Lions of Minneapolis rolled over the Lady Bearcats 53-35 led by senior Kelsie Paige who rarely missed a shot all night. Minneapolis played a good defensive game of basketball and stymied the Lady ‘Cat shooting for the duration of the game.

The Bearcats also felt the claws of the Lions as Minneapolis won the boys’ game by a score of 66-48. The ‘Cats had a momentary lead in the second quarter but couldn’t pull away.

ST. JOHN-HUDSON --- The Lady Oilers fell to the second-ranked 1A Division I St. John’s team by a score of 58-39. The boys’ score was not available at post time.

Read about these games in the Dec. 22 edition of the Ellsworth County I-R.
