WILSON --- The Lady Dragons allowed the Lady Trojans of Logan to pull within four points in the third quarter, but Logan made the mistake of tackling Karlie Steinle mid-court, prompting a 65-44 rout at the Dragon Lair in Wilson.

Steinle scored over 30 points in the win.

The Dragons had a 29-7 lead by the end of the first quarter in the nightcap, and double-double king Jake Stoppel was on the bench taking a breather by the 4 minute mark of the second quarter in the 82-36 slaughter of the Trojans.

The Dragons’ bench played most of the fourth quarter and had good form. The bench has improved immensely since the beginning of the season and handled the young Logan team with ease.

The Dragons have a bye in the first round of the sub-state tournament and will play Thursday in Beloit.

The Lady Dragon versus Tescott game has been moved to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28 in Wilson.

Ellsworth and Central Plains were idle Friday.
