HAYS --- Ellsworth’s Ty Nienke placed second in the 3A-2A-1A State Wrestling tournament in Hays Friday, after losing a 6-0 decision to Trey Francka of Chase County. Nienke was the only Bearcat to qualify for the 2012 tournament and wrestled well, defeating fourth-ranked Brady Lowell of Republic County to win the berth in the championship match.
