Tuesday night sub-state basketball results
STERLING --- The Black Bears of Sterling ended the premiere season of Oilers basketball as they overcame Central Plains by a score of 59-40 on their home court in Sterling in the first round of the 2A Pratt-Skyline sub-state tournament.
The buckets were cold for the Oilers, and although they had plenty of shots, the ball wouldn’t fall through the hoop. The Black Bears had a lot of height and were excellent rebounders.
The Lady Oilers will meet Pratt Skyline at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 1 in Pratt in the second round of the tournament.
WILSON --- The Lady Dragons sent the Lady Trojans of Tescott home for the season with a 63-23 win in the Dragon Lair at Wilson.
The Lady Dragons will play Central-Christian of Hutchinson Friday, March 2 at Beloit High School in Beloit as March Madness begins. The time has yet to be announced.
The Dragons will play St. John’s Beloit/Tipton at 7:30 p.m Thursday, March 1 at Beloit High School in Beloit in the second round of the tournament.
