CLAFLIN --- The Lady Oilers of Central Plains--now 18-5 on the season--are the fourth seed in the 2A state tournament and will play the fifth seed, 18-5 Oakley in the first round at 4:45 p.m. Wednesday, March 7 at Bramlage Coliseum in Manhattan.
The Lady O’s are in the top side of the bracket and the winner of the contest will face the winner of the (22-0) Olpe/(16-7) Meade game in the second round.
Of interest to North Central Activities Association fans are the Lady Buffaloes of Republic County, who upset top-ranked Washington County in the semi-finals of the Ell-Saline sub-state tournament, winning the third place seed with a 19-5 record. The Lady Buffaloes will face 18-5 Lebo at 8:15 p.m.
