CLAFLIN --- The top-ranked 1A Division I Lady Tigers of St. John/Hudson outran the fifth-ranked 2A Lady Oilers in the fourth quarter to win 48-36 in Claflin.

The Lady O’s had a 7-point lead mid-way through the third quarter, but great defense by the Lady Tigers led to scoring opportunities for St. John to tie the game and take the lead.

The young and promising Oilers ran into St. John’s 6’7” sophomore Dean Wade, who led the Tigers to a 57-40 win at Claflin.

The Tigers had plenty of 3-ball shooters on the team and good defensive skills.

MINNEAPOLIS --- The Lady ‘Cats lost by a point, 29-28 to the Lady Lions of Minneapolis in Minneapolis.

The young Bearcat squad was defeated 58-42.
