ST. JOHN --- The Oilers won their first game in the tough St. John Mid-Winter Tournament, dispatching Medicine Lodge by a score of 53-39 in St. John.

LINCOLN --- The 2A Lady Leopards of Lincoln upset the top-seeded and previously undefeated 1A Division II top-ranked Lady Dragons of Wilson 63-42 in the Northern Plains League tournament in Lincoln.

The Blujays of St. John’s Beloit/Tipton beat the Dragons by a score of 62-48 in Lincoln.

HOISINGTON --- Disaster struck the Ellsworth Bearcats as their post and the only senior on the team, Josh Bahr, was injured in a collision with a Hoisington Cardinal in the third quarter sending both players from the game.

The Cardinals defeated the Bearcats by a score of 70-40.
