Tuesday’s tales from the hardwood

RUSSELL --- The Lady ‘Cats played a great game of basketball in the 46-36 victory over the Lady Broncos Tuesday in Russell.

It was a good game of basketball and a lot of fun to watch.

It was a last second bucket that destroyed the fragile Bearcat lead in the 47-46 Broncos win in Russell.

Neither team seemed to dominate on the court at any time during the game.

The struggling Broncos got their first win of the season.

PALCO --- The Lady Dragons returned to the court with a vengance defeating the Lady Roosters 64-25 in Palco.

Karlie Steinle scored a double-double in the win.

The Roosters edged past the Wilson Dragons, 56-52, in Palco.

Marcus Denham scored 26 points in the loss.

GREAT BEND --- The Lady Oilers of Central Plains defeated the Lady Eagles of Ness Plains 64-30 in the Hilltop Hoops Classic basketball tournament at Barton Community College in Great Bend.
