CLAFLIN --- The Lady Oilers surfed to a 56-45 win over Otis-Bison Tuesday in Claflin.

The Lady O’s defense did not allow the Lady Cougars to score in the first quarter.

The Oilers had a solid 12-point lead in the first quarter and although the Cougars battled back, Central Plains played determinedly and won by a score of 56-45.

ELLSWORTH --- The Bearcats put another game in the win column, beating Russell 49-40 in Ellsworth.

Two Bearcats were in double figures in the win.

The Lady ’Cats lost 54-49 in a tough game of basketball against a quality Lady Bronco girls’ basketball team.

Wilson was idle Tuesday.
