HAYS — The Lady Bulldogs of Ingalls beat the Lady Dragons 53-42 in the semi-finals of the 1A Division II State Basketball tournament Friday in Hays.

Antjelica Pfannenstiel played her best game of the season, earning a double-double in the loss.

The Lady Bulldogs owned the paint on the defensive side of the ball, simply denying the Lady Dragon’s top scorer, Karlie Steinle, many shots at the basket.

The Lady Dragons will meet a very fast and good Rexford-Golden Plains team at noon, Saturday in Gross Memorial Stadium on the campus of Fort Hays State University in Hays in a battle for the third place trophy.
