Central Plains Oilers finish season 9-2

MONTEZUMA -- The South Gray County Rebels destroyed  Central Plains’ playoff hopes by defeating the Oilers 52-6 with 1:56 left to play in the game--winning by the 45-point mercy rule.

The Oilers were without the services of senior linebacker Kevin Klug, who has been battling a knee injury all season and did not suit up for the game.

The Oilers finish their inaugural season with a record of 9-2.

 Montezuma will meet Osborne  at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11 in Osborne for the semi-final match. Madison will play Lakeside (Downs) at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11 in Madison.
