Randy Zajic, maintenance supervisor for the City of Holyrood, tendered his resignation effective Oct. 17 after a five-minute executive session at the Holyrood City Council meeting Monday.
Zajic, who has been with the city seven years, plans to go into business for himself. Zajic and his wife, Denise, are currently in the process of building and operating a bait business.
“We are really appreciative for all the hard work you’ve done for the city,” said Holyrood mayor Ken Schepmann. “You have always been there — even after hours — if we needed you.”
