This New Years Day promises to be a special and emotional one for Preston Sauers of Kanopolis.
Not only will Sauers become the full-time organist at Salina’s Sacred Heart Cathedral — something he has done on a part-time basis for the last six years — he will also fulfill a long-time dream.
“Ever since I was a kid, my mom has told me that her dream for me was to one day play in a big church like that,” Sauers said. “That has always stuck with me, and I’ve told my mom that dream is finally fulfilled.”
