Lorraine approves cleanup bill

POSTED: March 30, 2012 7:00 a.m.

A $2,092 bill to clean up the property at 233 Mohlman was approved during the March 20 meeting of the Lorraine City Council.
Steve Shute and Robert Panzer of Ellsworth presented the bill to the council, which included 19 hours of labor for three men and the disposal of 96 tires.
Shute and Panzer will prepare a bid for the salvageable metal collected during the cleanup. The value of the metal will be paid back to the city to be subtracted from the homeowner’s bill.
The council authorized Mayor Trent Miller to accept the amount of the bid pending its receipt.

Pick up a copy of the March 29, 2012, edition of the Ellsworth County I-R for more on the Lorraine City Council meeting.
