Wilson mill levy to increase slightly

POSTED: August 5, 2011 11:59 p.m.

With an estimated mill levy of 65.569, the 2012 Wilson city budget summary, which is up just .88-of-a-mill from last year’s 64.689 mills, was approved at Monday night’s meeting of the Wilson City Council.
“This is a good budget,” said council member Leland Francis.
Susan Kriley, city clerk, said the estimated mill levy is based on valuation and is not set in stone until she gets the figure from Ellsworth County Clerk Jan Andrews.
