Kathryn A. Lamia, 87, homemaker, died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012 at Ellsworth County Medical Center. She was born, Dec. 8, 1924 at Sedgwick to Robert Ernest and Clare Margaret (Ropp) Moulds. She was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Kanopolis, American Legion Post 231 Auxiliary, Halstead, and V.F.W. Post 1432 Auxiliary, Salina. On Nov. 18, 1942 she married Claire Henry Lentz at Newkirk, Okla.; he died Nov. 1, 1977. She then married Jasper Lamia, March 17, 1979 at Kanopolis; he died July 15, 2001. Survivors include step-sons, Leonard (Vicky) Lamia, Little Rock, Ark.; James (Cindy) Lamia and Anthony (Diane) Lamia, all of Holyrood; brother, Dean (Patricia) Moulds, Wichita; sister-in-law, Barbara Moulds, Monte Vista, Colo.; four step-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by brothers, Tom, Donald, and Norman Moulds; sisters, Pauline Prine, Evelyn Becker, Eleanor Bennett and Geraldine Vogel. Visitation with the family will be 3-5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18 at Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead. The Rosary and Mass of the Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 19 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Halstead, with Father Stephen Baxter officiating. Burial will follow at Halstead Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Sacred Heart or St. Ignatius Altar Societies or the Halstead Historical Society in care of the funeral home, Halstead.
