E. May 'Pat' Lindquist

E. May (Pat) Lindquist, 102, of Brookville, died Saturday, Dec 1, 2012. She was born Sept 10, 1910 in Ellsworth, the daughter of Elmer and Gertrude (Parker) Lessig. Pat was a farm homemaker. She was a school teacher for over 50 years in Ellsworth and Saline counties. She is member of the Kansas Teacher’s Hall of Fame and the National Teacher’s Hall of Fame, She was a 4-H Leader, member of Fidelity Rebekah Lodge, Order Of The Eastern Star, and the Brookville United  Methodist Church.
She was preceded by her husband Carl E Lindquist.
Survivors include two sons, Jon (Kaye) of Brookville and James (Kay) of Giltner, Neb.; one daughter, Jodi Pielsticker (Bob) of Tulsa, Okla.; one cousin, Mona Cunningham of Salina; 10 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec 8, 2012, at the Ell-Saline High School Gymnasium. Inurnment will be private in the Brookville Cemetery.
Viewing will be prior to the service in the gymnasium from 9 to 10 a.m.
Memorials are to the Brookville United Methodist Church.
Ryan Mortuary, Salina, is in charge.
