Roland W. Bolte, 83, of Lincoln, died Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, in Salina. He was born June 22, 1929, in Lincoln County, Kan., the son of Walter and Marie (Plinsky) Bolte. He was a farmer and stockman, a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Westfall and American Legion Post 174 in Ellsworth. He served in the U.S. Army 1953-1955. On Aug. 30, 1953, he married Bernice Ricker in Holyrood. She survives. Other survivors include his son, Kevin Bolte (Terry), Lindsborg; and daughters, Nadine Bishop (Mark), Imperial, Neb., Lisa Bolte Huschka (Kris), San Antonio, Texas and Angela Bolte (Kristin), Greensboro, N.C.; a sister, Melba Williams, Mobile, Al., along with seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cheryl Ann, in 1956. Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m. Friday at Parsons Funeral Home, Ellsworth, with the family present from 6-8 p.m. His funeral will be at 2: p.m. Saturday at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Westfall. Burial with military rites will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials may be given to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church or Morrison House in Salina, care of the funeral home, Box 45, Ellsworth, Kan. 67439.
