Marie Ann Helus, 82, Hutchinson, died Monday, Jan. 28, 2013.
She was born Aug. 2, 1930, at Wilson to Fred and Theresa Freibus Galliardt. She was a member of the New Life Church of the Nazarene and had worked for Leech Products for 12 years.
On Nov. 16, 1950, she married Roy Helus in Clovis, New Mexico. He died Dec. 2, 2000.
She is survived by: a son, Raymond and his wife Sue Beth, Hutchinson; two sisters, Irene Wyatt and Leona Wuistinger both of Ft. Worth, Texas; three grandsons, Arick Helus, Hutchinson, Timothy Helus and his wife Jennifer, Buhler, Jason Helus, Wellington; three step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and 10 step- great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Leroy, Frederick and Ray Galliardt, and two sisters, Anna and Eleanor.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1, at Wilson Cemetery, Wilson, with Pastor Gary Worthington officiating.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Thursday, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
Memorial gifts may be made to the church, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, Kan. 67501.
