Virgil D. Beougher

Virgil D. Beougher, 79, passed away March 4, at his home in Ellsworth. He was born May 3, 1933 in Gove County to Gael and Mary (Sutcliffe) Beougher.
Living in Ellsworth since 1969, Virgil was retired a district conservationist for the Soil Conservation Service where he worked 38 years. He married Connie Bruning, May 22, 1987, in Ellsworth. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Ellsworth.
Virgil is survived by; wife, Connie of Ellsworth; sons, Duane Beougher of St. Louis, Mo. and Darrel Beougher of Dighton; daughters, Debra Beougher of Wellington and Diane Beougher of Yoder; brothers, Kenneth Beougher of Bird City, John Beougher and wife Mary of Pierre, S.D., and Max Beougher and wife Dee of Englewood, Colo.; sisters, Opal Zimmerman and husband Fabien of Quinter and Donna Spath and husband Charles of Grand Junction, Colo.; grandchildren, Stacy, Danielle, Mathieu, and Renee; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 1-8 p.m. Wednesday at Parsons Funeral Home, Ellsworth, with family present from 6-8 p.m.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday at the First United Methodist Church, Ellsworth, with burial following in the Ellsworth Memorial Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the church or Boy Scouts of Ellsworth, in c/o the funeral home, PO Box 45, Ellsworth, Ks. 67439.
