Alice Jo Oller

Alice Jo Oller, 73, died Dec. 6, 2013, in Salina.

She was born Aug. 5, 1940, in Lincoln County to Jack and Bonnie (Zachgo) Meitler. She was a homemaker and former member of the Covenant Baptist Church, Kansas City, Kan., and attended the Smoky Hill Baptist Church, Ellsworth.

On Aug. 4, 1961, she married Gary Sam Oller in Elizabeth City, N.C. He survives along with their sons, Anthony and wife Toni, Marysville, and Todd, Holyrood; seven sisters, Judy Werner, Plainville, Linda Glisson, Stockton, Vicki Wiles, Ellsworth, Debra Iwig, Topeka, Kathy Ashbaugh, Salina, DeAnn Meitler, Sylvan Grove, and Cindy Miller, Ellsworth; six brothers, Dick, Great Bend, Chuck, Lockhart, Texas, Donnie, and Wichita, Daryl, Danny and Dean all of Plainville.

She also is survived by seven grandchildren, Andrew Paul, Samantha Marie, Andrew Michael, Paige Donnell, Gaberial Douglas, Triston Scott and Dylan John; brother-in-law, Al Oller and wife, Doris, Holyrood; two sisters-in-law, Lola Rixon, Abilene, Texas, and Carolyn Oller, Pratt; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Carolyn Gehring; two nephews, Larry Meitler and Scott Reinert; and a niece, Karen Bender.

Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Monday at Parsons Funeral Home, Ellsworth, with family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church, Wilson.

Memorials may be given to the Smoky Hill Baptist Church, Ellsworth, c/o the funeral home, P.O. Box 45, Ellsworth, Kan. 67439.
