Jerry Dale Armstrong II

POSTED: February 28, 2014 7:00 a.m.

Jerry Dale Armstrong II of Clayton, Ga. — “J.D.” to most — found his way home Feb. 21, 2014. He smiled, God smiled, and all was forgiven.
J.D. was born Aug. 15, 1963, in Salina, Kan. to Jerry and Glenda Armstrong.
He was preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his mother, Glenda Armstrong, and sister, Jennifer Armstrong Gaston (Kale), both of Denver, N.C.; and his children, Audrey Armstrong Tinkham (Ken Oltremari), of Huntersville, N.C., Jerry Dale Armstrong, III, of Canyon Country, Calif., and Austin and Tiffani Armstrong, both of Salina.
Though his presence was absent from their lives, his heart remained with them always.
He is also survived by his partner in love and life, Charissa Clowers, and her sons, Jacob Leal and Samuel Clowers, all of Clayton, Ga.
J.D. was a son of the Kansas plains, and lived his life in true tornadic fashion. His smile was always the rainbow after the storm. He was handsome, charming, and blessed with an unfailingly irreverent and infectious sense of humor. He trusted in the innate goodness of nature, the weight of a fish on the line, and two master carpenters — himself and Jesus Christ — probably in that order.
He was loved, and his spirit lives on.
In accordance with J.D.’s wishes, no funeral services were held. The family was served by Beck Funeral Home, Clayton, Ga.
