Shirley L. Nienke

Shirley L. Nienke, 77, died March 20, 2014 in Haysville. She was born June 6, 1936 in Fairfax, Okla. to John II and Pearl (Wright) McKinney. A longtime Holyrood resident, she was co-owner of the Mobile service station and member of St. Peter Lutheran Church.
On Sept. 17, 1954, Shirley married Ervin F. Nienke in Salina. He preceded her in death as well as brothers Michael and Bill.
Survivors include daughters Donata Ward (John) of Haysville and Lisa Gillett (Kevin) of Salina; son Mark (Shelly) of Windsor, Colo.; brothers Ronald McKinney of Ellsworth and John McKinney III of Salina; sister Debra Thomas of Salina; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. 
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, March 24, at Parsons Funeral Home, Ellsworth.
Memorial contributions may be made to Harry Hines Memorial Hospice of Wichita, in c/o the funeral home, P.O. Box 45, Ellsworth, Ks. 67439.
