Lila Lee Vopat

Lila Lee Vopat, 86, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family Saturday, March 22, 2014, at the Golden Living Center, Wilson.
Lila was born Sept. 23, 1927, in Dusseldorf, Germany. At the age of nine, she immigrated with her family to Ellsworth in 1936. It was there that Lila attended school and married Adolph Vopat in 1949.
Lila was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Lucille Clark, and her husband Adolph of 62 years.
She is survived by her son, Tom (Christy) and grandchildren Tommy and Katie Vopat, Leawood; a daughter, Linde, Kansas City, Mo.; a brother, Bill Clark (Cindy), Fort Meyers, Fla.; a sister, Joan Woodward, Greensboro, N.C.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Lila was loved dearly by all and will be sorely missed by her family, friends, and staff at the Golden Living Center, Wilson.
Visitation and rosary will be at 9 a.m. Saturday, March 29, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Wilson.
Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 29, at the church. Interment will follow at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery. Foster's Mortuary, Wilson, was in charge of arrangements.
Memorial contributions are to St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church.
