Jesse Lee Myers

Jesse Lee Myers, 57, died Monday, April 21, 2014, in Russell. 
He was born Dec. 19, 1956, in St. Charles, Mo. to Gerald and Virginia (Greenfield) Myers. A longtime resident of Ellsworth,  Jesse grew up in Missouri. He was a former City of Ellsworth Water Department employee.  
Jesse was a good man, kind-hearted and loved by all. He was always there to help anyone through a hard time, especially by putting a smile on their face. He loved to make people laugh with his endless supply of jokes. Jesse was a big man with a big heart.
Survivors include his daughter, Shantell Myers of Kanopolis; former wife Terri Myers of Ellsworth; grandchildren Maddie, Jacob and Malcom; three brothers, three sisters and step- mother Venita.
He was preceded in death Feb. 19, 2004, by his son Richard Allen Myers; his sister Shelby; and his parents.
A memorial graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 26, at Ellsworth Memorial Cemetery, Ellsworth.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family (to help defray expenses), in c/o Parsons Funeral Home, P.O. Box 45, Ellsworth Kan. 67439.
