Arleen J. Craig, 91, passed away Sunday, June 1, 2014, in Salina.
She was born Feb. 23, 1923, in rural Lorraine, Kan., to Johnnie and Lynda (Stolten-burg) Soeken.
  Arleen was a lifetime resident of Ellsworth County where she was a postal worker and postmaster at the Lorraine Post Office, as well as a homemaker, and a dedicated member of the First Baptist Church of Lorraine and its Women’s Ministry Fellowship organization.
Arleen married Roscoe (Red) Craig, Jr. on May 17, 1951, in Holyrood, Kan. He preceded her in death in 2009.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and infant brother, Bobby.
 She is survived by sisters, Inez Jandos of Ellsworth and Hazel Tilton and husband Richard of Salina, three nieces, a nephew, many great-nieces and great-nephews, and loving friends.
Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m. with family present from 6-8 p.m.  Wednesday, June 4, at Parsons Funeral Home, Ellsworth.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 5, at the First Baptist Church of Lorraine with burial following in First Baptist Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Lorraine, in c/o Parsons Funeral Home, P.O. Box 45, Ellsworth Kan. 67439.
