Marian H. Ann Bahr

Marian H. Ann Bahr, 86, Claflin, passed away July 16, 2014 at the Great Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born July 8, 1928 on the family farm at Odin to William and Regina (Schneweis) Hipp. She married Marion Bahr May 18, 1953 at Odin. 

Her family was her life. Mrs. Bahr was a lifetime Odin and Claflin resident. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the Altar Society, both of Claflin.

Survivors include husband, Marion Bahr of the home; four sons, Bill Bahr  and his wife, Vickie, of Broomfield, Colo., Joe Bahr and his wife, Carolyn, of Denver, Colo., Tim Bahr and his wife Tammi, of Tallahassee, Fla., and Paul Bahr and his wife, Jeni, of Ellsworth; two daughters, Rosemary Bachman and her husband, Tom, of Lakin, and Joan Klug and her husband, Bill, of Odin; one sister, Carol Lamatsch of Claflin; one brother, Larry Hipp of Great Bend; 17 grandchildren, Heather Clark, Molly Sheldon, Jenni Klienow, Amy Metro, Billy Klug, Jami Merlau, Kim Fisher, Kayla Johnson, Kevin Klug, Jeremy Bahr, Kenny Bahr, Ali Bahr, Brit Bahr, Michael Bahr, Mickey Bahr, Josh Bahr, and Whitney Bahr; and 25 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Eleanor Hekele and Betty Hammeke, and one brother, Tom Hipp.

Rosary will be at 7 p.m., Friday, July 18 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Claflin, with Mass of Christian Burial will at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 19 at the church. Father John Forkuoh will be celebrant. Burial will be in the Claflin Cemetery.

Memorials are requested to Gentiva Hospice or Parkinson’s Foundation, in care of the funeral home.
