Eva Mae Stone

Eva Mae Stone, 83, died Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at her home in Kanopolis. She was born Jan. 31, 1931 in Graham, Texas to Brantley C. and Anna (Boyle) Needham. A Kanopolis resident since 1967, she was a homemaker and had been a nurse’s aide at the Ellsworth hospital. Eva was a member of the United Methodist Church, Kanopolis.
Eva married Billy R. Stone July 30, 1948 in Wichita Falls, Texas. He survives. Other survivors include two sons Billy R. Jr. of Kanopolis, and Donald and wife, Susie, of Ellsworth; one daughter, Carol Mazzotta and husband, Joe, of Longmont, Colo.; three sisters, Lynda Logan and husband, Dan, of Elgin, Texas, Billy Joyce Salmon and husband, Jack, of San Antonio, Texas, and Betty Reeves of Plano, Texas; 12 grandchildren, and 29 great-grandchildren.
Eva was preceded in death by her parents; son, Bobby; sister, Jewel Shifflett; and infant sister, Norma Jean Needham.
 A memorial service will be conducted at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 26, at the United Methodist Church, Kanopolis, followed by an inurnment in the Kanopolis Cemetery.
