Marlyn D. 'Chief' Steinle

Marlyn D.  “Chief” Steinle, 78, died Saturday, Aug. 16, 2014, at the Golden Living Center, Wilson.
Mr. Steinle was born Aug. 23, 1935, in Russell County to Daniel W. and Marie (Heinze) Steinle. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Vickie; four sons, Brent D. (Kim) Steinle and Brian L. (Tami) Steinle, all of Lucas; Todd (Lori) Steinle of Wilson, and Kendall Steinle of Dorrance; a brother, Frances D. Steinle of McPherson; six grandchildren; and five step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Jerry and Jimmy Steinle; and a granddaughter, Sara Ann Steinle.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19, at the First Lutheran Church, Dorrance. Burial will be in Dorrance City Cemetery with military rites by Dorrance American Legion Post 334 and the Fort Riley Honor Guard.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday and from 8 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the church.
  Memorials may be made to the church, in care of Foster Mortuary, P.O. Box 533, Wilson, Kan. 67490.
