Hector Munro Campbell

Hector Munro Campbell, 92, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 27, in Salina. He was born April 17, 1922, in Lachine, Quebec, Canada, to Hector and Genevieve (McLaurin) Campbell.
Hector served in WWII for the Royal Canadian Navy, where he was an officer. He was a long time chief executive officer of Speed King Mfg. in Dodge City and more recently was chief executive officer of Mariah Energy, a wind energy start-up.
He married Jean E. Trump June 30, 1951, in Ellsworth. Hector was a passionate K-State supporter, avid golfer, and most importantly, a loving family man. He also never missed a chance to watch the Montreal Canadians hockey team.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Craig Campbell.
He is survived by wife, Jean of Ellsworth; daughters, Terri L. Campbell of Ellsworth, and Nancy L. Campbell of Philadelphia, Pa.; son, John R. Campbell also of Philadelphia; and his loving companion dog, Phoebe. 
A private family memorial service is planned.
