Velma K. Westerman
(1918-2010)

Velma K. Westerman, 91, died Saturday, Jan. 30, 2010, in Ellsworth.

She was born Dec. 23, 1918, in Ellsworth County to Dale and Emma Shoemaker Green.  A lifetime resident of Ellsworth County, she was a homemaker. Velma was a member of the United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and Willing Workers, all of Ellsworth.
On Feb. 26, 1939, she married Charles E. Westerman in Ellsworth.  He preceded her in death Mar. 20, 2001.

Survivors include two sister-in-laws and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Monday at Parsons Funeral Home, Ellsworth and frin 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the United Methodist Church, Ellsworth.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the church
, with burial following in Ellsworth Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the church or Willing Workers, in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 45, Ellsworth, Kan. 67439.
