'Mother' Bickerdyke
Mary Ann “Mother" Bickerdyke, a Civil War nurse with connections to Ellsworth, is one of 24 finalists in the 8 Wonders of Kansas People, a project of the Inman-based Kansas Sampler Foundation.

Mr. and Mrs. David Lang of Ellsworth, and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Clough, Jr. of Langdon, are proud to announce the engagement of their children, Chelsea Jean Lang and Joshua Allen Clough.

The bride-elect is a graduate of Ellsworth High School, and will graduate in May, 2010 from Fort Hays State University with a bachelor's degree in elementary education.

The prospective groom is a graduate of Fairfield High School, Hutchinson Community College and Fort Hays State University with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice studies.

The wedding has been set for June 5, 2010, at the United Methodist Church, Ellsworth.
