The Wilson High School Dramatic Arts Club will perform “Sarah Sydney Takes Hollywood by Storm" at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 9, and Thursday, March 11, at the school auditorium. This is a fast-paced comedy, directed by WHS instructor Kathy Powers.

In the play, Sarah, 17, has dreams of becoming a star. The problem is, she can never seem to get a break. Not only does she get turned down for the national “Make Me a Star" competition, she even loses the role of Dorothy in her school's production of “The Wizard of Oz" to her longtime rival, Mary Beth.

Sarah's hopes and frustrations play out in a series of funny and vivid fantasies as she confides in Company, an alter ego only she and the audience can see.

Then comes the chance of a lifetime: Sarah's drama class is asked to back up Lance and Tasha, two teenage singing sensations, in a live performance, but there are many obstacles in Sarah's path to stardom.

A total of 20 WHS students (18 actors and two crew members) are involved in the play. They include:

• Sarah — Megan Zelenka.
• Mary Beth — Kaci Nichols.
• Bobby — Josh Zamecnik.
• Missy — Ashley Zelenka.
• Company — Emily Beneda.
• Miss Fontaine — Kaitlin Ptacek.
• Lacy — Justine Dlabal.
• Jamie — Sarah Lanter.
• Erica M. — Deedra Heinrich.
• Lance Rock — Sonni Ernst.
• Margie — Karlie Steinle.
• Tasha — Alisha Beach.
• Jenny (stagehand) — Cora Borell.
• Sarge — Sonni Ernst.
• Sylvia Gray — Andrea Mattas.
• The Liquidator — Ashley Templeton.
• Doctor — Kristina Heinrich.
• Dancers — Sheradin Fabrizius, Kristina Heinrich, Jenna Lanter, Alisha Beach.
• Crew members Julie Ellis and Rikki Ernst are helping with the lighting.
