Seriously? DEBBIE MAI Friday December 11, 2009
Okay, it has been a month, ALMOST, since I last posted anything. I know you have missed me, I understand. I have been busy, yeah, believe it or not, I have been getting ready for the holidays. Unfortunately all my plans are not coming together. First, I wanted to have my 2nd annual Nails by Debbie Christmas Party, well, with my husband working less and paychecks not going as far, I am not sure that it will happen, which leads me to the T-Shirts I wanted to celebrate the party with. My - I got Nailed by Debbie T-Shirt. I know, that may offend some of you, but guess what, it's funny, and I love funny, however, lack of funds = lack of t-shirts. I know once again, bummer! The world has been saved from my tacky t-shirts, but believe me I am planning ahead for next year. I was sharing with a client, just this morning, about my idea for a blog titled "Don't Get Me Started". You would be amazed how many things get my blood pressure in the danger zone. I can always tell when it is time for my medicine, not BP meds, anti-crazy meds. I really get started on things when I forget to take my meds. Thus, this intersting blog today. Parents, Children, The Post Office, Neighbors, Husbands, Volunteers, People Volunteering to be Husbands. Seriously, don't get me started on these things. The world is a crazy place and I know those subjects sound pretty mundane, but if you came and got your nails done I could enlighten you on any number of these subjects. And SNOW, hello, let's not talk about the snow. Why is it when you are young the cold wet white stuff never bothered you? It is cold, it is wet and it only stays white until the dog pees in it or the car rumbles through it, then it is a mess of yuck. What is there to enjoy? It sticks to your clothes, makes your entry to your house look like a war zone, because your children are not allowed to track it through your house so they strip at the door making it look like the closet and dressers have all vomited clothes. Oh yeah, and if you aren't careful you could be one of the lucky ones that slips on it and breaks a hip, wrist or other fragile bone. That is all I have to say about that. Christmas! I do love Christmas! I will wish you a Merry Christmas and I told my children that it should be Christ-must! You must have Christ in your life to enjoy Christmas. Sounds weird after the last paragraph, but I do believe in God and his son Jesus Christ, I wish everyone to be blessed by their love. It is a wonderful thing and it makes you want to do wonderful things. Too bad for my kids though, cause they want me to do wonderful things for them like, buy them a cell phone. NOT.GOING.TO.HAPPEN! My 6 year old says, "but mom, it is in my Christmas letter to Santa". Really? Guess what, Santa still has to get permission from this mom to bring my child a cell phone, so Santa, if you are listening, do not get her one. I don't mind being the bad guy, she can not have a cell phone. Sorry dear. Well, in case it is another month before I can sit down and blog, I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! I plan on ejoying myself with my family and friends! Just remember, if you see me, you might want to run the other direction so you don't get me started! Seriously, I am not kidding:)
