New Year Resolution DEBBIE MAI Tuesday January 12, 2010 Well, once again we have entered into a new year and a new decade. WooHoo! I made it! Of course this was after spending the last week of 2009 recuperating from the stomach flu, so 2010 already is an improvement. So, onto my New Year's Resolution...the suspense is killing you, I know. Well folks, I resolve to...wait for it...ahh, sorry, I have resolved to not make one this year. Why? Well, because I never accomplish it and actually never try too hard to accomplish it. So, this year I thought, why bother? All I will do is give up on it. Which is okay, because, I do it all year long. Give up? No, I make little vows to myself all the time. Sometimes I even stay motivated longer than the two seconds the thought crosses my mind. I am actually proud of myself for not gaining any extra weight in 2009, that wasn't my resolution, my resolution was to lose weight. I need to thank the stomach flu virus for that accomplishment. Had I not spent 24 hours sicker than a dog I am sure I would still be carrying around the extra weight from the holidays. Thank you evil flu, without you where would I be? This paragraph was suppose to be about my families birthdays and my friend's wedding and a family reunion of sorts, however, I didn't save my work fast enough, "Session timed out" and it was all lost, and after I came back to this page I remembered that Juanita told me to hit the backspace button, I obviously didn't do things in the right order. Sooooo, I am a tad bit frustrated and will try to remember bits and pieces. Here it goes, we have celebrated 1 wedding, will celebrate 6 birthdays, and 1 family reunion. Sorry folks, I am leaving it at that. |
