Betty J. (Lawrence) Hickel will turn 90 on Oct. 15.

She plains to celebrate with a family dinner the following Saturday with a gathering of her children: Steve (Dorian) Hickel, Janell (Doug) Hubbard, Rick (Dawnya) Hickel, Doug (Karen) Hickel, David (Cheryl) Hickel, Kyle Hickel, all of Claflin; June ( Jeff ) Halliwill, Wichita; Curtis Hickel (Great Bend); and Janine (Kirby) Dutton, ElDorado, along with her 24 grandchildren and 43 great-grandchildren.
