Mary Elizabeth Olson, 92, of Marquette, Kan., passed away Sunday, May 26 at Riverview Estates in Marquette. Mary was born in Enid, Okla. July 1, 1926, daughter of the late Lena (Marlowe) and Herman Moore. She worked as a photo developer at Smile A Minute, and was an avid bowler and golfer. She was a long time member of the First United Methodist Church in Salina, and later became a member of Elim Lutheran Church in Marquette. Mary sang for the Bethany College Handel’s Messiah for over 50 years. She also sang in the church choir and in the Salina Chorale for many years. Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Vernon; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her siblings, Jack, Marlowe, and Julia Moore, and Maggie Blenis; and great-nephew, Kenneth Dean Olson. Funeral service was Thursday, June 6 at the First United Methodist Church, 122 N. 8th Street, Salina. Burial followed at Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Riverview Estates, Elim Lutheran Church, or First United Methodist Church, sent in care of the funeral home.
