Danellda ‘Dee’ A. Parrish (1949-2020)

Danellda ‘Dee’ A. Parrish, 70, died July 8, 2020, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born Dec. 17, 1949, in Ellsworth, to Karl G. and Danellda L. (Lange) Pflughoeft.  

Dee was a 1967 graduate of Ellsworth High School and 1971 graduate of Kansas State University. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing, antiquing, fishing, and farming. Dee loved her pets, but her role as wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, were the roles that she most treasured.

On Jan. 8, 1971, she married Robert ‘Red’ Eugene Parrish, in Kansas City, Mo.  They shared over 49 years of marriage.

Dee is survived by: her husband, Robert ‘Red’ Parrish of Little River; children, Tammy Parrish, Leah LaGreca, John Parrish, and Becky (Ryan) Erickson; grandchildren, Mitch Kempke, Shannon Duskie, Erin Lewis, Katie Thacker, Nick LaGreca, Cody LaGreca, Peyton Erickson, and Reece Erickson; and seven great-grandchildren.

Private family graveside service was held Friday, July 10, 2020, at Excelsior Lutheran Church Cemetery, Wilson, Kan., with Pastor Tim Carey officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Hospice House, Hutchinson, or Hutchinson Animal Shelter, in care of Elliott Mortuary and Crematory, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, Kan. 67501.
